Smarty Pants

Today I want to brag about my husband! He would be sooooo embarassed if he knew I was doing this, but its my blog, so I do what I want. :) EVERY semester of college Austin has recieved the honor award for getting a 3.5 GPA or higher. Let me just say he has extremely tuff classes too and he gets a 3.9 or 4.0 every time. How does he do it!?! I'm really hopeing Brody gets his smarts from his dad. Austin is such a hard worker and spends all his extra time studying. He works full time (8-5), then heads to school right after and usually is there until 8 or 9, then he comes home and studies for an hour and all weekend. Sad for me.....I feel like I never see him, I can't wait until school is done and gone forever! But he enjoys learning as is really good at it, so one last time I just have to say.....CONGRATS SMARTY PANTS!!!!!

Brigham City

Every Year the Saturday before Memorial Day my family and I go up to Brigham City to put flowers on graves. Its something I look forward to doing every year. It is such a darling small town and has orchards everywhere. But, I have to say we mostly go up to eat at Maddox. :) Its the most yummy restaurant with famous fried chicken, mashed potatoes and homemade rolls. YUM!!! If you haven't been there you are missing out. We then head over to peach city drive up and order an icecream, another yummo, famous for their lemon custard ice cream. It is something we have done since I was little and I can't wait for Brody to come with us next year!

Joys in Life

Two of the many joys in my life.......

On Monday, I got to play with my niece Raegan and nephew Wyatt all day. We played with toys, watched 101 Dalmations, had peanut butter and jelly's, colored with chalk on the sidewalk, played at the park, and made homemade playdough. I don't think it could have been a better day. I absolutely LOVE these two kids and I had such a great day with them!

Raegan wanted to play with my phones (personal and work) all day. She kept pretending to be talking to Kayla Starr, my other niece.
I think Wyatt should win a happy baby contest.
He is never sad, he just smiles all day and laughs.

If you haven't tried homemade playdough, I think you should try it. Raegan and I had so much fun mixing it up and adding die to each pile so we could make our own colors.

Salt Play Dough

2 cups flour

2 cups water

1 cup salt

4 Tbls. oil

4 tsp. cream of tartar

Heat until blended and thickened. Take off heat. Break into sections and add food coloring.

Doctor Appointment

Austin and I went to my 24 week Doctor appointment this morning at 8am, lots of traffic that early but we got there only a few minutes late. We get really excited to go see Dr. Smith and see how well our baby is growing. I always get butterflies on my way up to Sandy, knowing I get to hear my babies heart beating inside of me. Its amazing!!!! Dr. Smith, measured my stomach first, which is measuring 2 weeks bigger then my due date. He said he is growing really well and that he is going to be tall like his daddy! And then he did the heart beat, ahhhhh.....my best part!!!!! I could listen to that sound all day. Its a good thing I don't have one of those at my house, I would probably never put it down. Brody is healthy, which is all I care about! That is always good news to hear.
Its been really fun, the last few weeks I have been feeling him move around alot. Kicking, wiggling, and rolling around. He gets super excited when his daddy is touching my tummy, its funny how he knows its him, but he does and he starts kicking alot. We love Brody so much and can't wait for him to come so we can hold him and kiss him LOTS!!!!

Mothers

This year was such a special mothers day for me. My very first to celebrate! It was an overwhelming feeling when I woke up and Austin wished me a Happy Mothers Day. To know that I am going to mother to a beautiful baby boy in just 3 months is such a JOY to me and I can't wait to hold him and give him a million kisses!!! Being a Mom is a special gift from our heavenly father, I don't know if I can fully understand the greatness of this gift yet, but I feel the strong power of gods hands in my life and I love knowing that he has blessed me with the chance to be a mom.

I need to thank the two mom's in our lives that we love and adore. Austin and I talk about our mom's all the time, we love that we were both raised but such strong and radiant women. We would not be the people that we are if it weren't for these two. Thank you for Loving us no matter what and always teaching us the right path to follow. You both are soooo special to us and we can't wait for Brody to experience having the greatest Grandmas on earth!!!!!!

April Girls Night was a blast!!! It was Ashleys month and she sent out invitations and had us dress up to go to dinner. Everyone looked beautiful and it was fun to be fancy for an evening.
