Witches night out

A tradition that I absolutely LOVE is going to Witches Night Out with My mom and Chelsea. We dress up head to toe with witchy attire and go shop about in the village. We eat yummy scones and soup, and get out on the dance floor and bust out our best witches moves. It is a great celebration for the ones that love to be WITCHY!!!!!!

Halloween Party

Josh and Chelsea had a halloween dinner party at there house tonight. It was a SPOOKY dinner.

"Austin you not an Angel" (Raegan kept telling him)haha
Raegs and Mamma played in the spooky fog
Charger fan and sleepover queen
Froggy and lady bug..I feel she is more of a stink bug,
but she kept insisting that she is a LADY bug!!!
The Darling dinner
We had to choose off the menu what we wanted.......if we got the code words wrong we might have had to eat our burrito on the table without a plate. haha It was so fun trying to figure out what things were. Chelsea is a very good cook and did a wonderful job keeping us entertained with her food names.
All Austin worried about was getting a plate, he didn't care if he got dessert first or didn't get a drink......he WANTED a plate!

Wyatt the frog
The Devil has a good side I see.
Angel of mine
We are cuters!
Joshua was a pirate and Chelsea a jack o'lantern
It was such a fun night!
I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!! It is just so fun to celebrate.

Magical moments

With halloween just around the corner, I find myself reflecting on the days of my childhood. When the fall season always seemed so special. What was it that made me feel like getting ready for halloween was magical? I don't have to think to hard to remember that My mom was always doing something special to make us love the season. She would always dec out our house with fun festive decorations, inside and out. We would make sugar cookies and homemade icing, I would get to help put the icing on and add some sparkle with my favorite sprinkles. We would dip carmeled apples, bake bread, and more cookies. I always remember my brothers loving it as well. We loved the smells of a kitchen cooking many yummy treats. Now as I am grown and thinking of being a parent myself, I am so excited to have these memory-making events with my own children. It is important to keep traditions going and having things to look forward to throughout the year. I think that I will get in my kitchen today, fasten my apron and start baking delicious treats to give as gifts and make this another season to treasure!!! Thanks mom for giving me the love of baking!

Body Worlds

Austin and I took trax to Salt Lake City yesterday to see the Body Worlds exibit at the Library Square. We both thought it was the coolest thing. It is amazing how complex our bodies are. I loved seeing this exibit, it shows you every organ of the body, it shows diseased organs as well so that you can see what happens to the organs when they are not taken good care of. They show multiple bodies that all are striped of their skin showing different things about the body but the one I thought was really neat was the body striped to its nervous system, you could see every single nerve in the body. It is definetely something that everyone needs to see, it changes the way you want to treat yourself, and eat, and excercie. We loved it! Go see it and let us know what you thought.
